| Description: |
|
The construction of these raised block paved tables formed part of a large scheme that we carried out under our term contract with London borough of Brent. Works on the raised tables were carried out during weekends from Fri 7.00pm to Mon 6.00pm on a very tight programme that required 24 hour working in three different shifts throughout each weekend.
The works were carried out using temporary traffic light control which meant that Wembley High Road, a very busy and heavily congested road was severely restricted while the works were in progress.
It was therefore essential that the works were completed on time and that the completed tables were ready for immediate use by traffic including buses and HGV’s. The use of high strength mortars was necessary on all kerb works in order to allow early vehicle trafficking.
