Health, Safety & Environment
Our good systems record is the result of our constant attention to safety and our policy of involving and consulting with our employees at every level in an effort to raise awareness of health and safety. We continue to focus the attanetion of our operative’s on site safety issues.

J & B Construction have just entered into a partnering agreement with OCB Health & Safety Training, an external training and environmental consultant to examine and access the training needs for the company and to carry out the necessary training, there website can be found at www.ocb-safety.co.uk . This work covers all disciplines. The process underlines the Companies training policy which requires the managers, supervisors and operatives all receive regular training.

The Companies Health & Safety policy and supporting documentation (a copy of which is available on request) is reviewed periodically and revised as new legislation dictates.


Quality Control
J & B Construction has long understood the need for a high level of quality control covering all aspects of the companies activities. The appointment of a Quality Control Manager and successful accreditation to ISO 9001 help to prove the level of commitment demonstrated by the company.
 
Both on site and within the office environment, a comprehensive quality plan is adhered to, ensuring all staff know what part they play in maintaining and imposing best working practices.

All sub-contractors are made aware of the companies Quality Plan and carefully prepared prequalification procedures are used when selecting sub-contractors. New employees are also made aware of the Quality Plan and as part of their induction plan and continued training, they are fully aware of the role they play.

Regular Audits are carried out both internally and by external bodies to ensure standards are maintained.

Environment
Our environment is changing, global warming is a very real problem that mankind has created. As a by- product of our industry we produce waste and emissions that must be dealt with responsibly. We are currently working towards an environmental accreditation ISO 14001 to ensure that we operate in environmentally safe conditions.
